The Wild and Scenic Rivers Coalition formed in 2018 as part of the Wild and Scenic Rivers 50th Anniversary. As an umbrella for all types and sizes of river groups, the Coalition has a growing national membership of more than 50 large nationally-active advocacy groups, small local river friends groups, land-management focused organizations with rivers as a portion of their portfolio, volunteer groups, river stewardship groups, environmental journalists, university scientists and others.
